“Draw your favela” contest
The contest is organized in the heart of the Rocinha favela, and permits the children to express their vision of their village and their impressions of daily life through their drawings and paintings.
The winning class gets a donation of a year’s worth of art supplies.

Projects in view for 2018-19…
In Cultura Veritas is considering financing the production of a book in collaboration with the habitants of the Brazilian favelas.
The profits from the sale will be entirely donated to a local humanitarian association to finance educational initiatives in these favelas.
Let's talk English!
To speak a foreign language can be a life-changing skill for the precarious youth in the Brazilian favelas.
In Cultura Veritas is involved in teaching French and English to this disadvantaged population to open the door to a better life.
The Pierre & Louise Thomas
Award for Excellence
Entirely financed by our honorary president Michel Thomas, this annual prize is given to a child that demonstrates a profound motivation to excel in his/her studies during the school year. The award is in the form of a donation covering all school supplies and materials for the following school year, plus continued financial assistance as needed.
Job training opens the door to a better life
Education and training are the keystones of In Cultura Veritas.
Many of our members are in the hospitality industry, and we are studying the possibility of setting up a training structure to pass on the necessary professional skills to these less fortunate populations.
More information to come on our blog and our Face book page.
